One material, no shortcuts
The alloy: 18 karat gold is 750 thousandths — 75% gold, 20% copper, 5% silver. It is the legal minimum fineness for gold in France. The Golden Cable is all gold: chain, links and clasp, with no plating and no base metal underneath.
The hallmarks: because the Golden Cable carries 5 g of gold — above the 3 g French threshold — it receives both punches: the eagle's head in a hexagon, the official 18k fineness punch, and our maker's responsibility punch, which ties the piece to the atelier that made it.

The rest of the 590 € covers the fabrication: drawing and assembling the links, finishing, hallmarking, and the lifetime repair service. We keep the two figures separate so you always see what you pay for metal and what you pay for the hand.

Three gestures for a daily chain
Take it off for sport
A daily chain is best removed for sport and for sleep: the spring clasp is the only moving part, and it should not be stressed.
Wash gently
Soak the chain in warm water with a drop of mild soap, brush softly, rinse and dry. It is the easiest piece in the collection to keep clean.
Avoid chlorine
Chlorine and household bleach can dull the alloy's surface over time. Keep the chain away from pools and cleaning products, and store it flat.

The atelier
Made in the Paris atelier
The Golden Cable is drawn, assembled and finished by hand at 14 rue de Saintonge, in the Marais — the same two hands from the first link to the last polish.
Lost-wax casting
The chain is cast in 750‰ gold using the lost-wax process, an ancient technique that still starts with a carved model.
Assembling the links
Each link is joined and closed by hand, checked for consistency, so the 3 mm cable runs evenly along its full length.
Finishing and hallmarking
The chain is polished, inspected, and stamped with the eagle's head and our maker's responsibility punch before it leaves the bench.
